Wall sconces can be easily mounted everywhere in the home, and you really need to look hard and deep to find a place where you can't install a sconce somewhere on the wall. The hallway and the bathroom are typical locations for the sconce lights, however you can also place them in the living room to highlight a piece of art or a painting on the wall, or outdoors to give enough light during the dark cold nights. It is important to place the sconce about 60 inches from the ground and if you install more than one, they should be at least 6 feet apart from each for best results and most safety at home.
Upstairs, I have a long boring hallway that need a makeover. So I decided to dress it up a bit. I placed a few hanging metal wall sconces on either side of my upstairs hallway, and I made sure I had enough of these sconces so I could go all the way to the end of my hallway with them. The glass in these sconces that covered the bulbs had a variety of faint colors in them. When I turned them on, they projected a colorful glow all the way down to the end of my hallway. It is an amazing sight to see!
