Accent lighting is another style in which a small dug-in spotlight pointed at a decorative item or an elegant basin produces another layer of light in the bathroom. The dug-in light can also be angled to accentuate and illuminate fixtures or tile work to make them shine. It enables you to see otherwise poorly lit or shaded areas. Pendants, or sconces, placed on appropriate areas, such as on either side of a vanity mirror, can give lighting for certain activities that include shaving and putting on makeup.
Vanity lightnings not correctly positioned can produce glare or shadows in areas not wanted. Placing the light fixtures on both sides of the mirror would help prevent this. If the mirror is big enough, the lights can be suspended directly on the mirror. The important thing is to install the lights at eye level to produce even lighting without creating shadows.
